Buy this bobble hat for £700 and get a free helmet

The latest replica of a Valentino Rossi helmet shows once and for all that the former world champion is a solid gold marketing genius.

The paintscheme for the helmet Rossi wore in ‘winter’ testing in Sepang was based on an Alpine-style bobble hat. Despite the soaring temperatures at the Malaysian circuit, Rossi joked around by wearing the woolly version in the pits between sessions.

Now AGV is taking pre-orders for a limited edition replica of the lid – and buyers will get one of the AGV-branded bobble hats thrown in with it. It’s the only way you’ll be able to get your hands on the bobble hat, which won’t be sold separately.

The design will be on the AGV Corsa and it will cost £699 here in the UK, with orders being taken through selected TeamAGV dealers for delivery in July.
