Gallery: Guy Martin cancels hydrofoil world record attempt
Guy Martin’s hopes in setting another world record have been shattered thanks to some underwater weeds.
The former TT racer was practising in Lincoln’s Brayford Pool yesterday prior to a water speed world record attempt using a human-powered hydrofoil for Channel 4 programme Speed.

MCN photographer Joe Dick, who was at the scene, reported fans were happy to see Guy and thought it was a good morale boost for the area of Lincoln.
But it doesn’t seem Mr Martin is going to let a bunch of weeds get in his way.
In a message from Channel 4, Martin said: "Ta for the support, I look forward to having another crack at it down the line.”
Watch this space, we guess.
