Video: Texas police officer pepper sprays passing motorcyclists

A Fort Worth police officer has been suspended after a video published online appears to show him pepper spraying a group of passing motorcyclists.

The video was posted by Chase Stone, a member of the East Texas Heat Motorcycle Club. Speaking to BuzzFeed News, Stone said: “As we’re passing by, the officer already had the can of pepper spray equipped and ready to go. At least three people went to the hospital. One woman was pregnant.”

Despite not receiving a formal complaint, the Fort Worth Police Department have launched an investigation into the incident, as well as removing the officer, identified only by his surname of Figueroa, from active duty.
