MILAN SHOW: Honda unveil Africa Twin and CB1100 concepts

1 of 2

Honda have taken the covers off two new concept models at EICMA; the Africa Twin Enduro Sports and CB1100 TR.

The flat track-inspired CB1100 TR was designed by Honda R&D designers in Rome to be the ‘King of urban flat track circuits’. The concept features radial Brembo calipers, forged aluminium Marchesini wheels, Ohlins suspension and a swish upswept Termignoni exhaust.

The number 58 is used on the front and side numberboards to honour Marco Simoncelli.

The Africa Twin Enduro Sports concept is Honda R&D’s vision of a true hardcore off-road Africa Twin model, featuring a tubeless Excel 21-inch wheel up front and 18-inch rear for more choice of off-road tyres. There’s also a rather substantial looking bash plate, Termignoni exhaust, HRC off-road footpegs and flat single-piece seat.

Gone is the standard Africa Twin bodywork, replaced by much less substantial and more aggressive Dakar-inspired bodywork.
