Suzuki will mark the 40th anniversary of Barry Sheene’s first world title by displaying a collection of incredible bikes and rare medals at the NEC later this month.

The two gongs he received for winning his world titles will be making a rare public appearance, as will seven sets of leathers and two helmets complete with Bazza’s trademark duck graphic.

There will be seven of Sheene’s race bike on display, including the two XR14s he rode during his championship winning years of 1976 and 1977. The Heron Suzuki XR27 that Sheene was racing in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone when he made the notorious ‘gesture’ to Kenny Roberts in 1979 will also feature, along with the XR35 and XR45 Sheene campaigned in 1983 and 1984.

Motorcycle Live runs at the NEC in Birmingham from the 19-27 November. Check out the Motorcycle Live website for more information and tickets.
