Suzuki will be hosting a special ride out to Silverstone for the British MotoGP in a few weeks with none other than 1993 500cc World Champion Kevin Schwantz.

The ride will be taking place on Friday August 25 and riders will be able to meet up with the legendary champion at the Super Sausage café on the A5 near Towcester before riding to the British Grand Prix with the former champ.

Schwantz will be at the café from 8am and will be heading to Silverstone at 9am where fans can meet the Grand Prix legend on the Suzuki stand throughout the weekend and where he will also be firing up his championship-winning RGV500, for those of you who need your fix of 2-stroke goodness.

Schwantz said, “I’m looking forward to attending the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and watching some good racing from the Suzuki stand.

“The British fans were always among the best, so it’s going to be great to see everyone and also to get to ride to the track on Friday together. And being reunited with some of my old race bikes which are still here in England and firing them up will be quite special as well; there is nothing like the sound of a two-stroke.”

The British MotoGP round will be taking place over the bank holiday weekend, August 25-27. Day and weekend tickets are still available and can be purchased from the Silverstone website.
