Rough Crafts MV Agusta Dragster 800RR “Guerilla Tre”

1 of 17

Rough Crafts have been at it again with another MV Agusta build, only not quite as radical this time.

Called the Guerilla Tre, the bike is based around a 2015 Dragster 800RR and was commissioned with a simple but difficult to achieve brief – it needed to have the potential to be achievable in production. We’re not too sure at the moment if this means there might be a limited production run based on this machine, but time will tell.

TOP STORIES

The face behind the Rough Crafts branding is Winston Yeh. Based in Taiwan, he’s become a force to be reckoned with in the custom world, standing out with distinctive and beautifully built machines all finished in black.

“This is the first bike ever we haven’t made our own tank and have had to work with existing components. I have to admit, it’s been challenging to make sure the design works with the pieces, and still adheres to a new concept statement” said Winston.

The wheels are the same as those featured on the Ballistic Trident bike that was finished earlier this year and are 17-inch six-spoke forged wheels built by Wukawa Industry.

“I instantly decided the bike needed to go down the urban scrambler route because MV don’t really have this type of bike yet. I really wanted to apply our favourite ‘Guerilla’ philosophy to it” said Winston. “And with Pirelli’s MT60RS, I was able to get the scrambler vibe without losing street performance.”

Stopping the bike is an upgraded master cylinder at the front, calipers and custom discs – all provided by Beringer. Providing a soundtrack for that wonderful triple is a HP Corse Hydro-Tre exhaust system.

Accel motocross bars accompany the enduro-inspired Rough Crafts headlight design and keeping things clean looking are Motogadget grips, mirrors and bar-end indicators.

The headlight was intended to work well with the tracker-inspired rear of the bike, tying everything together and a Gears rear shock takes care of the suspension.

It’s never a dull moment at the Rough Crafts workshop – with the completion of the MV, Winston is now putting the finishing touches on a Ducati Scrambler build and is also working on a Harley. We’re looking forward to seeing them.
