Arch Motorcycles, the motorcycle company founded by Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, has partnered with European race bike specialists Suter. The partnership will see Suters become available in North America for the first time with Arch Motorcycles forming Suter North America to import the Swiss machines and sell them in the US.
That means Americans will soon be able to buy the absolutely insane and incredible Suter MMX 500. What's the Suter MMX 500? I'm glad you asked. The Suter MMX 500 is a top pedigree track motorcycles, powered by a 500cc V4 engine. Oh, and it's two-stroke.
All the bodywork is made from carbon fibre, so the machine weighs just 127kg, but the ballistic two-stroke motor - a throwback to the 500cc Grand Prix bikes of old - churns out a whopping 195bhp. Suter built just 99 of the exclusive bikes, which are available for 128,000 Swiss Franc (£102,397 and $132,174), so you'll have to dig deep if you want one.
On this side of the pond, Suter Industries will import and distribute the Arch KRGT-1, and they'll also be working to make the big V-twin Euro4 compliant and will provide Arch with engineering resources.
The KRGT-1 is a little different to the Suter. It's arguably just as exclusive, but it's a true American muscle machine, powered by a 2032cc S&S engine that pumps out a tarmac-rippling 122ftlb of torque.
Over 200 parts of the KRGT-1 are manufactured by Arch in Los Angeles and every single example that rolls off the production line will be personalised to suit its owner, with two different riding positions available and unique colour schemes. The price? $78,000 or £60,435.
