Ducati XDiavel gets the Krugger treatment

Published: 29 June 2017

Ducati entrusted an XDiavel to the very capable hands of Belgian custom builder Fred Krugger to design a special edition of the Bologna firm’s blistering cruiser behemoth – and this is the result.

Named the Thiverval after a small racetrack that sits on the outskirts of Paris, the bike will be unveiled at Spa this weekend at the Bikers’ Classic event, which sees thousands of motorcyclists from across Europe descend on the Belgian circuit.

The bike is centred around the monstrous V-twin that powers the XDiavel. The engine remains on full view but steel trellis frame has been hidden behind custom bodywork to help simplify the lines.

The tank and tail were both completely rebuilt with the latter housing a complex exhaust and tail light design.

Ducati wanted the bike to retain the XDiavel’s fundamental DNA, something that the use of the original headlight and colour scheme of black and chrome highlight perfectly.

Thiverval will be on display at the Ducati stand all weekend at the Spa Bikers’ Classic. Guy Martin will also be racing at the 4 hour endurance race with Team Classic Suzuki at the event too, tickets are available online.
