Over 100 contraband motorcycles have been seized and crushed by Filipino President, Rodrigo Duterte.

Worth more than £480,000 combined, a Harley-Davidson, a BMW and two Triumphs were included in the 122 destroyed machines.

Duterte, who rides himself, flinched when the bulldozer reached one bike in particular, a Harley, commenting: “When the excavator crushed the Harley it’s like I also got hit in my neck. What a waste.”

And rather than auction the bikes off, Duterte decided to pull the bulldozer out to deter vehicle owners who do not pay the correct import fees. This move is part of a wider campaign against drug dealers in the country, which has so far claimed the lives of 20,000 people according to political rival Antonio Trillanes.
