Want to pass your bike test? Move to Swindon…

Published: 07 March 2018

If you are considering taking your bike test, a recent survey by motorcycle finance provider Moneybarn may be of interest. The firm has analysed the government’s motorcycle Module 2 test centre average pass rates in 2016 and 2017 to see which area of the UK you are most likely to pass the test. And the results make interesting reading, especially if you live in Swindon or Glasgow...

Surprisingly, there is a variation in pass rate by up to 34% depending on geographical location with riders in Swindon averaging an 86.8% pass rate while those in Glasgow average a success rate of just 52.7%. And there is also a trend with location, with centres in the South of England recording on average higher failure rates than the rest of the UK. So if you are planning on taking your test, or are just a fan of Oasis (they took their name from the Leisure Centre), it may be time to move to Swindon…
