World's most expensive motorbike: A £1.4m Harley Davidson

1 of 1

There’s a new Harley Davidson on the scene, and it makes the Brough Superior’s £60,000 price tag look like pocket change.

The £1.4 million Blue Edition is a collaboration between Swiss watchmaker Carl F. Bucherer and the boutique Harley Davidson workshop Bünderbike and features grips draped in jewellery, heat-resistant LED engine lights (to illuminate a window to the crank shaft), and a ‘safe’ which houses a diamond ring and a Bucherer watch.

Hidden beneath all the bling is a Harley Davidson Softail Slim, but every panel has been custom built at Bünderbike, a process which took more than 2,500 work hours, leaving the finished product almost unrecognisable.

The entire bike was also silver-plated before the paint was applied to illuminate the colour, and diamond rings are incorporated into the grips, forks and one side of the tank.

A price tag of £1.4m makes the bike the most expensive in the world.

Patrick Graf, chief commercial officer at Bucherer, said: “We are pleased to be able to contribute our long-standing experience and close relationship with our partners in order to create exclusive and unique watches and products as part of the Bucherer Blue Editions, which are exclusively available at Bucherer.”
