Other premium scooters
The premium scooter market is looking pretty healthy at the moment with most brands carrying an impressive range-topper. Here’s what else is out there and what you get for your money.
The Honda Forza is available in 125 (£4689) and 300cc (£5099) versions. They feature an electronic screen, traction control, hefty storage, keyless ignition and stop-start engine tech.
Piaggio Beverly Sport Touring ABS
The £5299 Piaggio features ABS and ASR traction control, plus a tuned 300cc engine 30bhp single engine. You get a smoked screen and plenty of storage, the underseat compartment can be opened remotely.
Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco clearly aren’t trying to buy their way into the UK maxi-scooter market with their AK550 costing a whopping £8879. You get a 550cc 53bhp twin-cylinder engine, heated grips and a ‘Noodoe’ customisable and multimedia-enabled LCD dash.
Available in 125 (£4899) and 300cc (£5399) versions, the Vespa GTS Super Sport features ABS and ASR traction control. It has a sportier appearance than other Vespas, but the classic DNA is still clearly visible. Vespa are also taking orders for their Elettrica electric scooter.
