Peugeot have launched a new version of their Metropolis three-wheel scooter that comes with front and rear dash cams as standard. The model, celebrating 120 years of Peugeot motorbikes, is the first production scooter to come with camera tech.

And the list of tech features doesn’t end there; traction control, keyless ignition, ABS, a Low Friction Efficiency 400cc engine and real time tyre pressure monitoring all make an appearance. It even switches on the hazard lights automatically under heavy braking.

It’s not just the spec list that sounds like it belongs to a car, rather than a scooter. A price tag of £8199 puts the Metropolis 120 Ans pretty close to the French manufacturer’s base 108 car model, but it’s still cheaper than the top-spec Piaggio MP3 Business which costs £8799.
