Slide into Bike Bonanza: Flattrack heading to Mallory Park as part of July event

1 of 2

Flattrack off-road racing will be coming to Mallory Park circuit in Leicestershire this July as part of weekend-long Mallory Bike Bonanza festival.

The high-speed oval action will be run by the Dirt Track Riders Association (DTRA) and, unlike the short circuit action that weekend, will be a bona fide round of their racing championship.

Round four of both the DTRA UK Flattrack Nationals and the Hooligan class will take place at the event. The UK National class is for serious flattrack race bikes whereas the Hooligans must run road bikes over 750cc.

The flattrack will provide an added dimension to a weekend of non-stop two-wheeled action around the 1.35-mile course, which will include parade laps of road bikes, race machines and sidecar outfits.

The event will also celebrate the motorcycling life of the late Phil Read MBE with special displays dedicated to the British great both on and off the circuit.

The Bike Bonanza will take place on July 15-16, with the event also hosting live music, club stands, an autojumble, and more.
