BMW have confirmed a number of updates to their top-of-the-range urban electric scooter, the CE 04.

First introduced back in 2021, the futuristic twist-and-go scooped an MCN Award for Best Urban Electric a year after its inception, and now gets a smattering of changes to keep things fresh.

For 2025, it will now be sold in three distinct trim levels, with optional extra equipment including a centre stand, heated grips, tyre pressure monitoring, and more.

Nominal power sits at a claimed 20.1bhp, climbing to 41.6bhp at maximum output – with charging from 20% to 80% taking a claimed 45 minutes with the optional quick charger in place. Charging from flat without the option in place takes a hefty four hours and 20 minutes.

For 2025, the CE 04 will be available in ‘Basic’, ‘Avantgarde’, and ‘Exclusive’ trim levels – with the latter being the flashiest of the trio.

Here, you get hand guards and a front screen for better weather protection, plus a laser-engraved rear wheel, and heating to the seat and grips – an option also available to spec on other models. Prices for the basic machine begin at £12,190, with each version also dressed in different paint designs.

Other options available to the machine include an emergency E-Call system, an A1 licence power reduction kit, and even a dynamic package with adaptive headlights, cornering ABS, traction control and an additional sporty riding mode.

Designed for life around town, the range sits at around 80.8 miles (130km) with an ‘Eco’, ‘Rain’, and ‘Road’ riding mode coming as standard. Providing all of your vital data is a hefty 10.25in colour TFT screen, which comes standard on all models.
