MCN London Motorcycle Show comes to a close after more than a decade of events in the capital

After more than a decade of standout events at London’s ExCeL, and many memorable years at Alexandra Palace prior to that, the incredibly tough decision has been taken to close the MCN London Motorcycle Show

In addition to being a spectacular season-starting celebration of new bikes, thrilling live action and unmissable special guests – the show will be remembered for its innovation and excitement.

Standout highlights included a unique celebration of Mike Hailwood’s legendary career and machinery, a powerful tribute to the great Joey Dunlop, and an extraordinary display of Carl Fogarty’s World Championship-winning WSBK Ducatis, flown in from their Bologna Museum.

Perhaps most memorably, the event achieved something never seen before or since anywhere in the world: ten of Valentino Rossi’s priceless World Championship race bikes displayed together in an awe-inspiring pop-up museum.

Over the years, it welcomed an incredible roster of special guests, including dedicated stages led by TV personalities Charley Boorman and Henry Cole, and a stellar cast of racers, including Jorge Martin, Pedro Acosta, Jake Dixon, John McGuinness, Peter Hickman, Jamie Whitham, Neil Hodgson, Ruben Xaus, Randy Mamola, Michael Dunlop, Freddie Spencer, Wayne Gardner, Carl Fogarty and Chris Walker — to name just a few.

The 2025 event celebrated MCN’s 70th anniversary, and attracted 29,122 showgoers to London’s ExCeL for three days of biking action, temptation and celebration – but rising costs mean it would be impossible to continue the event without increasing the price significantly for visitors, or damaging the format of the show.

Motorcycle Live – at Birmingham’s NEC from November 15-23 – will now be the only place in the UK for enthusiasts to see the new bikes from all the major manufacturers in one place, and the MCN team will be working closer than ever with MCL to make the event unmissable.
