First ride: Quadro ‘S’

1 of 1

Three-wheeled, ‘leaning’ scooters arguably make the perfect winter commuters and the latest join the fray is from Swiss/Italian firm Quadro (who, ironically, has set its stall out mostly as a four-wheeled scooter company).

Its newcomer is dubbed the ‘S’ and is powered by a 346cc single.

“The ‘S’ is much lighter than some of its rivals which means it’s quite nippy and helps it handle really well. And although it may not have either ABS or traction control, at £5999 on the road it makes a very good and cheaper alternative.”
