KTM’s latest and – according to the Austrian firm – most extreme adventure bike, the 1290 Super Adventure R has landed, with the company launching the bike in Peru last week.

Unlike most high-tech adventure bikes the R model comes with conventional WP suspension which is fully-adjustable, although Bosch cornering ABS complete with off-road mode is included as well as lean-sensitive traction control and rider modes (Sport, Street, Rain and Off-road).

Our Senior Road Tester Adam Child was at the launch to ride the new model and he reckons it’s a truly versatile adventure bike that can be enjoyed by anybody – regardless of their experience. TESTED: KTM 1290 Super Adventure R.
