Falco gets new look and new name

1 of 1

For the first time the Aprilia Falco has been given a sporty two-tone paint red and black job. The frame has been painted black and the upside-down Showa forks are now gold.

The bike has even been given a new name – the Falco R – but despite this, the only other modifications to the bike are new end cans and the addition of a catalytic converter.

The catalytic converter has been added to meet pending stricter European emission regulations. The twin stainless steel end cans have been painted black feature new internals for improved gas-flow.

All the other specifications remain the same, with the engine producing a claimed 118bhp and the machine weighing 190kg.

The new Falco is expected to arrive in dealer’s showrooms early next year, with a price tag close to the current bike’s £7875.

The new look of the bike was revealed for the first time at the Milan Show on Tuesday morning.
