New look of TDM900 revealed

1 of 1

Yamaha’s TDM850 IS turning into the TDM900 for 2002 and our artist’s impression reveals exactly how the bike will look.

As well as an increase in capacity and an aluminium frame, the new bike will have a dry weight of 190kg, about 11kg less than the 2001 TDM850.

There’s a new fuel tank and thinner, lighter LCD clocks, a new screen and cowling and new multi-reflector dual headlights.

The new front wheel is an 18-incher and the rear a 17in item.

The rear shock is fully adjustable, for rebound, compression and pre-load and the swingarm is a new aluminium part.

The wheelbase is 148.5cms and the rear end plastics have been reshaped.

The bike is expected to be launched at the Paris show later this month. We’ll bring you first pictures and more details as soon as we have them.
