Suzuki’s TL-powered giant trailie spotted

1 of 1

Suzuki’s 1000cc V-twin trailie has been spied for the first time, so here’s your first chance for a look.

It’s called the DL1000 V-Strom (and no, that isn’t a typing error).

It has an all-new alloy trellis frame, a detuned version of the TL1000 V-twin and lightweight hollow alloy wheels.

The instrument panel looks cool with a conventional analogue rev counter and speedo.

Those who have ridden it claim it is very comfortable, making it a clear rival for bikes such as the BMW R1150GS.

The bike will be officially unveiled later this month at one of the big two bike shows this year, Milan and Paris.

We’ll bring you more details and better pictures as soon as we get them.

Take a look in our news section or our Latest On New Bikes section within NEWS to see first pictures of the new big-bore ZX-6R, revamped ZX-9R, special edition Triumph Daytona and 2002 Triumph Bonneville America, all added to the site since Thursday, August 30.

And don’t forget to check back on Monday for an exclusive look at another new high-performance bike.

You can see them all brought together in MCN, published in the UK on Wednesday, September 5.
