CBR600RR recall

Published: 11 August 2004

Updated: 19 November 2014

Honda is recalling some CBR600RRs built in 2003 and 2004.

It's to fix a potential problem with the rear brake.

Bearings on the rear brake actuating rod on some bikes can seize if exposed to road salt, possibly leading to the rod snapping and causing the brake to fail.

Honda is writing to owners of affected bikes. If you want to double check, the recall applies to 2003 models with chassis numbers from 3M000001 to 3M000648 and 2004 bikes from 4M100001 to 4M100593.
