GSX-R1000 group test

1 of 1

MCN’s crack road testers are off riding Suzuki’s new GSX-R1000 against its hottest rivals and you can read our full verdict in the March 9 issue of MCN.

You’ll be glad to know we’ve left our snow-covered islands to ride the bikes – we’re headed for the south of France.

The test pitches the 05 GSX-R1000 – the bike we described as “lighter, faster, more compact – and easier to ride than the K4 version – against Yamaha’s R1, Honda’s Fireblade and Kawasaki’s ZX-10R.

The full group test verdict will feature in our March 9 issue – but you’ll be able to see video clips from the test on this site early next week.

We’ll be adding video clips from our first test of the GSX-R in Australia from Monday, too.

After our Oz test we said: “It has all the refinement, speed and track prowess of Yamaha’s R1 but manages to inject some of the high voltage madness of the Kawasaki ZX-10R.

“It’s more involving to ride around the track, too. But is it actually faster?”

The superbike shoot-out we’re running now aims to find out.

Don’t miss the results in our March 9 issue.
