More Kawasakis all round
Reports from the Japanese business media suggest Kawasaki intends to grow its bike sales in Europe by 10 per cent by next March.
Insiders say the strategy includes expanding its product range (which MCN has already seen evidence of in the ER-6n and Kawasaki ZZ-R1300, see links, right).
The other part of the plan is in strengthening its sales network. Reports in Japan also refer to Kawasaki opening its first ‘direct-run’ store in Spain - a dealership run by the parent company rather than by the importer.
Promotions will focus particularly on the ZX-6R and the VN 1600 Classic – according to Japanese sources.
