Adventure NEC launch

BMW has lunched the new R1200GS at the NEC bike show, releasing all the info about the bike, including the fact it’s got a 33 litre tank.

The new bike replaces the R1150GS adventure, which has until now been running alongside the standard R1200GS, and really ups the game.

The most impressive feature is the massive tank. BMW claim a full 33 litre fill-up will get you 450 miles.

The bike also gets a bike increase in power with a 15 percent rise in BHP and 17 percent up on torque. This combined with a massive weight saving should make a significant difference to the bikes handling.

The new Adventure will come as standard with a much bigger windscreen, crash protectors on the engine and fairing, immobiliser, adjustable seat and bars and hand protectors.
