First 06 Superbike test

We’ve scoured the world to bring you the world’s first group test of the 2006 superbikes and the test is so big and comprehensive we’ve had to split it in two.

Last year’s king the Suzuki GSX-R1000 took on its rivals, the brand new Kawasaki ZX-10R, the heavily revised Honda Fireblade and the tweeked Yamaha R1 in a track test around the Spanish Valencia GP track and then on the roads on the 1000-mile trip home.

You can read the track part of the test in the February 1 edition of MCN followed by the road test in February 8.

The trip home proved to be more of a challenge than expected. After some sunny days riding through Spain the team encountered some of the worst snows they had ever had to ride through. Even the lorries had pulled off the roads.
