Early news has come from the Aprilia factory that the faired version of the 750cc v-twin Shiver predicted by MCN in early February will be one of a line up of new models on the way from Aprilia for 2008.

The statement released this morning by Aprilia UK says that the 750 twin and the automatic 850 engine from the Mana 850 will be used as a basis for most of the new bikes in both their current capacity and bigger-bore versions.

Aprilia also hints at a faired version of the twist-and-go Mana 850, and new adventure sports, supermoto and dual purpose models are also planned according to the release. The RSV-R and Tuono are also due to be on the receiving end of ‘significant updates’. A spokesperson at the Aprilia factory was unable to confirm if the plans are correct.
