BMW S1000RR a Yamaha R6 copy?

Is the new BMW S1000RR a Yamaha R6 rip-off? YouTuber mca8690 certainly thinks so, and he’s gone to the trouble of producing this video to prove it.

The S1000RR was spotted early in its development sporting modified R6 panels, which it wore ‘with space to spare’ according to BMW development boss Peter Mueller.

We don’t agree with mca8690’s embittered suggestion the bike is a rip-off, but it does make an interesting comparison, especially when the bikes sport the same colours.
