New 2010 Tokyo Show bikes break cover

1 of 7

All these new bikes will be seen at the Tokyo Motor Show in about 10 days time – but we’ve managed to get a sneaky early glimpse.

Highlights include a Yamaha SR400, a fuel cell Suzuki Burgman, a 400cc version of the Suzuki Gladius, some electric scooters, along with a V-Max and R1 that appear to be unchanged over the current models.

The SR400 is a new fuel-injected model for the Japanese market and follows two years after the bike was deleted because of emissions regulations.

The fuel cell Burgman burns hydrogen to produce electricity and leaves only water as a waste product.

The technology was developed for the Suzuki Crosscage concept bike by British company Intelligent Energy.

At the moment we have no further information about the bikes and at this stage it seems unlikely any of them will reach UK shores as part of official line-ups.

As we get more information we will update the story.
