This retro scooter is the new 2010 Vespa PX, which is currently being manufactured on the original Vespa production line in Pontedera, Italy and should be coming to the UK around April 2011.
The air-cooled, fuel-injected, two-stroke, single-cylinder comes with both electric start and an old-school kick-start.
It has a four-speed manual gearbox and weighs in at 97kg dry. The eight litre fuel tank will bump the weight up above 100kg, but will mean a good range from both the 125cc and 150cc versions of the bike.
Suspension is handled by a link arm at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
Vespa say the “elegantly minimalist” PX will offer: “unmistakable style, functionality and user-friendliness”.
The dash is minimal, with indicators for lights, turn signals and fuel reserve.
