Cologne Bike Show: 2011 BMW K1600GT gallery

BMW’s leviathan six-cylinder tourer is set to be the world’s most advanced, most luxurious and most powerful tourer.

The K1600GT and K1600GTL are being revealed this week at the Intermot Show in Cologne, and feature some of the most advanced technology seen on two wheels – not to mention the inline six-cylinder engine at the heart of both bikes.

The new engine trades on BMW’s expertise and reputation for building six-cylinder car motors, but the firm has gone to great effort to make it light and compact.
