Carole Nash MCN motorcycle show: Ducati confirms Monster 1100Evo price

Ducati has officially confirmed the price of the range-topping 2011 Monster 1100Evo will be £8995.

The Monster 1100Evo is the latest addition to the Monster range and replaces the old 1100 bike, adds ABS and traction control, loses weight, gains power and a new twin-side mounted exhaust system.

The two-valve air-cooled motor now produces 100bhp with 76lb ft of torque. The bike has 43mm Marzocchi forks and a fully adjustable Sachs shock.

The Monster range now consists of the entry-level 696, the middleweight 796 and now the 1100Evo.

The £8995 price doesn’t include registration and tax which will add around £125 to the price.
