Kawasaki's ER-6f has been given a complete makeover for 2012 – but you might have to look hard at these pictures to spot the difference.
Despite similar styling to the current version, the budget middleweight gets its biggest round of changes since its launch six years ago.
Updates include a completely new tubular steel chassis, a 'banana' shaped twin-tube swingarm, adjustable-height windscreen, higher-performance engine and new exhaust and instruments.
Kawasaki won’t yet reveal details like peak power, weight or all-important price.
But the firm says the 649cc parallel-twin engine delivers "increased engine performance" and "more torque in the everyday range".
Figures should be slightly up on the existing model's 72bhp and 49lbft, while the riding experience should be enhanced by better power delivery.
The bike has also gained minimalist bodywork inspired by the latest Z1000SX.
The price is expected to be close to the current £5999 or £6399 with ABS.
