Guzzi to build new engine – and a new Mandello factory too

1 of 1

MCN’s executive editor Phil West is at the Moto Guzzi factory in Mandello, Italy, covering the company’s 90th anniversary celebrations. He’s just come out of a presentation by Roberto Colaninno – the chairman and CEO of Guzzi’s owner-company Piaggio.

Phil said: “The big news is that Guzzi will be building a new factory on the historic Mandello site, and are designing a new liquid-cooled engine for future models. Roberto Colaninno said the factory would be built over the next three years, and that the old one will be kept as a tourist attraction.”

Full details of Guzzi’s future plans and the 90th anniversary celebrations in next week’s MCN, out Wednesday September 21.
