Honda has officially confirmed the new CRF250L dual-purpose trail bike will be going on sale in the UK as revealed by MCN last month.
The CRF250L was revealed for the first time at the Tokyo Motor Show in November 2011 but it has only just been officially confirmed the bike will be going on sale in the UK in summer.
The Honda statement reads: “The CRF250L is a true 'dual purpose motorcycle’, combining ease of use for everyday life with the fun and capabilities of off-road riding. As such, it continues a long tradition of Honda machines, dating back to the XL250S of the late 1970s, and the entire XL range that followed.
"Continuing the 250 lineage, the machine features a 249cc liquid-cooled DOHC single cylinder engine, contained within a twin-tube oval pipe steel frame and with an aluminium swing arm.
"Suspension comprises inverted front forks and ProLink rear unit. These features will be coupled with low running and maintenance costs, creating an attractive package for both novice and seasoned riders.”
Full technical specifications of the European version of the bike along with a confirmed price will be revealed in the coming weeks.
MCN tested a Japanese specification version of the bike a little while ago. You can read that test below. Honda CRF250L first ride
