Final production version of KTM 1290 Duke R spied

New spy shots have revealed this is what the highly-anticipated KTM 1290 Duke R is going to look like in completely finished form when it’s launched in two weeks.

The two images appear to have been taken within the KTM Research and Design centre at the factory in Mattighofen in Austria and show the production version of the exhaust and numberplate hanger for the first time.

The new 1290 Duke is completely new and will be one of the highest-performing naked bikes ever seen with 185bhp from the new 1290cc V-twin, all of the latest electronic control systems and top-spec suspension and brakes.

There are no massive surprises as this is a bike that has been spotted testing at almost every stage of the development with MCN first showing images of a first generation test bike at the start of 2012.
