Yamaha has revealed for the first time an updated 2014 version of the big-selling YZF-R125 at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show at Excel in London this morning.
The new bike replaces Britain’s best-selling supersport 125 model gets new styling, new upside down forks, radially mounted front brake caliper, a full digital dash and new lightweight wheels.
The overhaul is aimed at keeping the YZF-R125 competitive against newer models including the likes of the Honda CBR125R, new KTM RC125 and the Aprilia RSV4 125.
The basic architecture of the bike remains the same and that means a 13bhp water-cooled single cylinder engine, steel chassis and supersport bodywork.
The show runs until Sunday at London Excel in Docklands and has almost all of the new 2014 bikes on show along with the all-action Revolution stunt show.
