Horex unveils new ‘café racer’ VR6

German firm Horex has revealed a new café racer style version of the VR6 roadster which shares the same 1218cc six-cylinder motor but gets a host of cosmetic changes for the limited edition of which just 33 will be built.

The Horex VR6 Café Racer 33 Limited was shown at the Dortmund motorcycle show in Germany last week and each of the 33 examples will cost €33,333 (£27,570).

Accessory company LSL was drafted in to help customise the bike and set it apart from the other Horex models. Using the frame and engine from the Horex VR6 Classic as a basis, LSL custom designed many of the details of the new Horex VR6 Cafe Racer 33 ltd.

A deeper seat matches a modified tailpiece cover over the passenger
seat to make it look like a single seat bike. The front mudguard is chopped shorter, the rear mudguard is redesigned and a variety of cosmetic parts around the light and an alloy radiator shroud give a slightly different look to the bike.

Front end features include a CNC-machined triple clamp and clip-ons. The CNC-machined footrests are set 10mm further back.

Upgraded suspension in the form of Ohlins FGRT 43mm forks with an Ohlins TTX36 single shock at the back are complemented by an Ohlins steering damper with Brembo radially-mounted brakes and Bosch ABS.

Kineo spoked wheels have a black anodized finish for a different look when compared to the other Horex models.
