Suzuki create a buzz with new yellow and black GSX-8R sportsbike limited to 60 UK units

Suzuki have launched a limited edition ‘Kiiro’ version of their GSX-8R parallel-twin sportsbike, with just 60 units available from UK dealers priced at £9599 on the road.

The most obvious change to the special is the colour scheme, with striking yellow and black bodywork taking over from the standard black, silver, and blue options. This is where the bike gets its name from, with Kiiro meaning yellow in Japanese.

There’s also black 8R logos, grey wheels, and a grey aluminium subframe – with a smoked front screen completing the look.

It’s not simply about colours though, and helping to set the special apart from the standard £8999 8R range is a single seat cowl, Gilles billet aluminium levers, a tank pad, and a two-tone seat complete with a GSX logo.

Besides that, it’s the same GSX-8R as was launched for 2024, with a 776cc parallel twin motor producing 82bhp at 8500rpm, plus a full colour TFT dash, upside down forks, and a usable upright riding position for everyday trips.

That’s no bad thing though, with the Suzuki winning our six-strong soft sportsbike group test in 2024, seeing off the Aprilia RS660, Kawasaki ZX-4RR, Yamaha R7, Honda CBR650R, and Triumph Daytona 660.

Later that year, it went on to win our coveted Sportsbike of the Year Award, too.
