BMW release second teaser video
BMW have released a second teaser video ahead of the Eicma motorcycle show in November. The video shows a fleeting glimpse of two motorbikes as they flash past a camera, sending it rolling across the road.
The overriding engine noise is from a four-cylinder and the best image we get of a bike looks to be an XR model, so that’s still what we expect to see on November 5, alongside a possible new smaller member of the XR family.

A first clip appeared on October 25 and that didn’t give much away either, showing a twisty road from rider’s point of view and a rear shock and spring.
The angle of the it also appears to match the one seen on patent application pictures for a possible upcoming F850XR, a baby brother to the existing S1000XR.
One of the onboard shots, however, features a four-cylinder engine soundtrack so the teaser could be foreshadowing the new XR family.
Given that the 2019 S1000RR used the firm’s new ShiftCam, which swaps between a low and high lift cam profile, it would be surprising if the S1000XR didn’t get the same system for 2020.
The full unveiling will take place on Tuesday, November 5. MCN will bring you more news as we get it.
Always riding ahead.
