Triumph are paying tribute to legendary Hollywood stuntman and off-road racer, Bud Ekins, with two special edition Triumph Bonnevilles for 2020.
Based on the existing standard T100 and T120, the limited-run machines will receive a special two-tone paint scheme, complete with hand-painted coach lining and classic Triumph logo.
Also included are ‘flying globe’ Bud Ekins tributes on the tank and front mudguard, alongside a subtle nod across the side panelling, below the Bonneville logo.
Ekins deputised for actor and good friend, Steve McQueen, on the set of the Great Escape, making the iconic motorcycle jump over the fence aboard a Triumph TR6 Trophy.
Alongside a new livery, the Bonnie specials also include a Monza filler cap often seen on Triumph retros, LED indicators, black engine badges and knurled grips.
To mark their authenticity, each machine also gets a certificate signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor and Ekins’ daughters, Susan and Donna.
