Housed on a now defunct RAF base, Faun Café have quietly been beavering away for almost 20 years at the hands of Teresa Nalton, and more recently with partner Leigh Reynolds.

But with the Lincolnshire Wolds only a short whizz away (and the A631 being one of the go-to routes) bikers have made Faun Café a must-stop destination and have been welcomed with open arms.

“We’ll give you a discount if there’s a gang of you!” says Leigh.

The standard menu is full of staple breakfasts, tempting lunches and homemade dinners. But café co-owner Leigh Reynolds has pride in the fact that he cooks everything from scratch – with the exception of the Pukka Pies – and even takes time to produce specials every week including curries, cottage pie and lasagne.

“We do a mixture of all sorts. You can have basically what you like in a bap – if I can put it in a bap then you can have it in a bap!”

Bike nights have gone from strength to strength and are start again in April when the weather is slightly more favourable. With plenty of seating inside and out, and loads of parking, it’s the perfect place to take a load off and look at some local metal on a summer evening.

“We do events on Saturdays. Last year we had the Thundercat Yamaha Group for the Air Ambulance – that was a good day.”

On the site is a ginormous antiques centre and if you venture further in, there’s more antiques, garden centre and loads more – it’s definitely worth a wander.
