Product Review: Richa Ratchet boots
Richa Ratchet boots, £99.99
Tester: Andy Davidson
Time tested: Seven months/2000 miles
What’s good? The Ratchets come with toesliders, ankle, shin and heel protection and a Hipora waterproof membrane. I’ve worn them in torrential rain and haven’t had a single drop through. They’re breathable, look stylish and are comfortable to ride in.
What’s not? While they may be comfortable on the bike, they’re not a great fit when walking around and the ankle protection doesn’t actually line up with my ankle. The main complaint lies in quality. There is a sharp piece of rubber above the heel which has worn a hole in the articulated leather area below it. The overall quality isn’t impressive.
