Product review: Dainese Torque D1 Out Boots

1 of 3

Matt's ridden over 3000 miles over the last few months. He's enjoyed weekend blast, daily commutes and trackdays, here's what he thinks of them.

What’s good?

These are decent pair of boots for road and track use. Since June I’ve used them for commuting, road tests, weekend blasts and trackdays and they have performed well. Internal lacing allows a snug fit and there is plenty of feel, while outer hinged plastic amour gives enough security for confidence while still allowing flexibility. Finish has stood up well too – they still look great.

What’s not?

Not the most comfortable (I used the insole from my old Merrells for more comfort) and magnesuim toe sliders are good but thin, so if you drag your toes a lot they still wear reasonably quickly. Leave them too long and you damage the retaining screws.

Price: £290

Or would you prefer to step out in these?

If you've got this kind of budget there's loads of options out there, why not try these from Alpinestars.
