Product Review: Wild Stripes crew top and long johns
Wild Stripes crew top, £35 and long johns, £30

What's good? I love the fact that this top can be worn as a casual top when riding and not just underwear. The striped design with red collars and cuffs are striking, and I feel it’s rather quirky. The thumb hook on the sleeve is great, when riding in dry weather, but recently I was caught out in the rain with leather gloves and the rain soaked through the gloves and wicked up the sleeves because I had the thumb hooks on. Regards warmth they’re a decent base layer and help keep me warm now the weather’s turned.
What's not? I’ve found the top has gone a little bobbly on the surface, which could be more a fault of the Velcro on my back protector but still it’s a little untidy. The long johns have gone baggy and even after a wash they don’t return to the original snug shape.
