Product Review: Knox Cold Killers Sport top
Cold Killers Sport top, £59.99
Time tested: Four months/1500 miles
What’s good? This zip-up windproof under-layer is comfortable, effective at keeping me warm and looks good. It’s windproof on the front where it’s needed and has a warmth-circulating material on the back that boosts flexibility and comfort while riding. The zip-up top has a high collar that helps block out draughts and works well in conjunction with a Cold Killers neckwarmer that I’ve also been using. The front section is lined with a soft Velboa fleece lining that is very comfortable, and it looks casual enough to wear it off the bike (versatility is important if you’re limited on luggage capacity).
What’s not? Some might feel £60 is steep for an under-jacket. It’s not quite worth its weight in gold (that’d be £1800), but I’m very glad of it on cold days.
