Product review: Alpinestars Hurricane jacket

1 of 1

Two years use and more than 18,000 miles covered in the Alpinestars Hurricane jacket have proved their worth.

What’s good?

This is actually a mountain bike jacket from Alpinestars cycling range, but it has become one of my indispensable pieces of riding kit. It’s essentially a close fitting, ultra-thin wind proof layer that I wear under my riding gear. In the spring and autumn, I use it instead of the winter lining in my jacket as I find it more comfortable and versatile as it can easily be taken off and carried. In the winter, it becomes another simple way of keeping the wind out on cold days. I’ve also used it as a layer when riding off-road or on my mountain bike. There are no pockets on the front, but there is a big cycling style rear pocket across the back.

What’s not?

I have nothing to fault!
