What’s good: This satin black Remus GP Revolution end can weighs less than half the standard Honda CBR600F-W exhaust it replaces, sounds fruitier but remains road legal, looks better and needs no mucking about with the jetting in the carburettors. My main reasons for fitting the pipe were so I could make sure the (massively expensive) original stays in good nick while losing weight off the bike. The fit and finish is excellent, it took 15 minutes to slip on and the black finish is in keeping with the 1998 vintage of my Honda.
What’s not: Nothing in terms of the exhaust but while it is tempting to remove the road-legalising baffle, my days of scaring the neighbours by being an anti-social noise lout are behind me. The small devil on my shoulder remains though.
