Alpinestars Apex Drystar gloves, £74.95
Miles covered/time: 5000/five months
What’s good? These gloves have got the nicest lining I’ve ever felt, they’re like a fur coat and it’s tempting to put your hand inside them, even when you don’t need to…They’re warm and waterproof and not too bulky, so it’s easy to feel the controls well when you’re riding, even riding quickly on a sports bike. They’re well made, but fortunately I haven’t tested their crash protection. I’ve been wearing them right up until recently on road tests and on my long termer, but now the weather has eventually turned mild, they’re packed away until next winter.
What’s not? There’s not much to complain about, even the price is acceptable.
